The Westgate Executive Committee
The Westgate Executive Committee (WEC) is the representative body of volunteers acting to advance the interests of the Westgate Community Association (WCA) on the Graduate Student Council (GSC) and within the greater MIT community as described in the Constitution of the WCA. The WEC also organizes and hosts events and activities for Westgate residents and their families and oversees the usage and maintenance of Westgate’s facilities. The current officers and their responsibilities are listed below
SECRETARY-TREASURER
KevinKevin track action items, manage the budget and coordinate funding.
PARENTS RESOURCE COORDINATOR
Hailey & ZachHailey and Zach organize activities and serve as a resource for families with children. She also oversees the playroom.
PARTNERS COMMUNITY COORDINATOR
Huifeng & YuHuifeng & Yu provide support for international residents and organize events for spouses and partners at home during the day.
WELLNESS & SUSTAINABILITY COORDINATOR
Mengying & QichenMengying and Qichen coordinate recycling and sustainability efforts for the community, and oversee the community garden.
PRESIDENT
Denise & DavidDenise & David are presidents of WEC.
COMMUNITY COORDINATOR
AxelAxel bring community together by organizing various events such as yoga and kickboxing classes and Friday BBQ over summer.
INFORMATION AND TECHNOLOGY COORDINATOR
Diego & XimenaDiego and Ximena manage the Westgate website, lounge and barbecue reservations and other Westgate technology related issues .
PUBLICITY AND OUTREACH COORDINATORS
Sharon & ChristianSharon & Christian are in charge of managing social networks, organize and help publicize events

Daisy and EdwardThey collaborate with the house manager, GC’s, and WEC to support and advocate for the Westgate community.
HOUSE MANAGER
Michael CollinsMichael manages maintenance and the custodial staff. He oversees the Tang front desk and assists in event planning and execution.
